Giants minicamp ends with helmet-swinging scuffle

Solder, who signed a four-year, $62 million contract in March, walked away from the fight on the third and final day of the minicamp on Thursday and sat on the grass after Harrison and Hernandez were separated.

Shurmur said helmet swinging bothered him. Hernandez wasn’t shy, either. He threw punches at Harrison.

Snacks is a very competitive guy and Will Hernandez is very competitive out there, Shurmur said. They just kind of butted heads.

Flowers was told he had to compete to win the starting right tackle job, but it appears he is way out in front in any position battle. He has taken every first-team rep ahead of Chad Wheeler in the media-attended OTAs and the current mandadtory minicamp.

I’m feeling great, having fun every day and looking to continue this, Flowers said. It’s an adjustment, but it’s going well, just chopping wood every day trying to get better.

Flowers described himself as very happy with his current situation and praised his relationship with Shurmur. The first-year head coach has used multiple opportunities to credit Flowers’ toughness, communication and willingness to do what is asked.

I’ve still got to go out there and do my job, Flowers said. It’s great, but I Womens Roger Craig Jersey have to focus on doing what I have to do.

While Shurmur has pumped up his Shannon Sharpe Authentic Jersey right tackle, general manager Dave Gettleman was less forgiving of Flowers’ absences, saying, ‘He’s in Miami, we’re here’ during the draft.

So is the onus to prove himself higher now than ever?
